2013 Naadam Festivities Held in New York City

On Saturday, July 6, 2013, Naadam festivities were held by the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park, New York City. The event was organized by the Mongol Heritage Foundation, led by Byambakhuu Darinchuluun. Approximately 75 people were in attendance, including the permanent representative of Mongolia to the United Nations, H.E. Ambassador Od Och. Attendees were treated to Mongolian food, drink, and a wrestling competition.

MACA President Sanj Altan Awarded Friendship Medal

In a special ceremony held at a reception at the Capitol Visitor Center in Washington D.C. for visiting Mongolian Parliamentarians on March 20, 2013, MACA President Sanj Altan was conferred the Friendship Medal by the Government of Mongolia. The Honorable Zandaakhuu Enkhbold, Chairman of the State Great Hural of Mongolia officiated the awarding of the medal.

Congratulatory Letter Sent to Re-elected Mongolian President Elbegdorj Tsakhia

On June 26, 2013, Mongolian president Elbegdorj Tsakhia was re-elected to a second term in office. MACA president Sanj Altan sent him a congratulatory letter wishing him success as President Elbegdorj continues his work as Mongolia's leader.
